Loading satellite assemblies

Aug 9, 2010 at 11:04 AM

I'm creating a composite UI with MEF.

Localization is done with satellite assemblies (Resx). The satellite assemblies for the modules (loaded with MEF) don't seem to get loaded in the app domain, and localization defaults to the invariant culture...

How can I have the satellite assemblies for the modules loaded with MEF to be loaded in the app domain too? Do I need to do this manually or is there some way to instruct the container?

I assumed this functionality is baked in since MEF is now part of the .NET FW.

Kind regards,

MEF handles satellite assemblies itself.

I've run into same problem and in my case it was caused by the fact I was handling AppDomain.ResolveAssembly event.

Couple of questions.
1) I presume you are using the version of MEF in .NET .4.5.1 not the Nuget package? Correct me if am wrong.
2) Could either of you send me a description of your composition graph ?
