SatisfyImports (WPF MVVM) not in MEF 2 Preview 5

Glenn Block has made a great method SatisfyImports for self-composition.  Reed Copsey made the argument (I agree) that SatisfyImports is integral for MVVM WPF development (http://reedcopsey.com/2010/03/26/mef-compositioninitializer-for-wpf/).

My question is will/when self-composition (SatisfyImports) be integrated into MEF.  It did not seem to make the cut for MEF 2 Preview 5.  Has SatisfyImports been black-listed because it can be excessively used?  Again please read Reed Copsey article which shows SatisfyImports allows xaml view instantiation while MEF pulls in the ViewModel.  This is the best way to maintain true separation in the MEF world.

Thanks,

Thanks for keeping this on the radar. I've added an issue to the tracker so that we get a definitive answer on this: http://mef.codeplex.com/workitem/14572
